DRUSKOMANIJA 2024

Open call for compositions

Call for voice, piano and electronics

This invitation is for everyone curious about the capabilities of voice and piano. Festival “Druskomanija” invites you to write pieces for soprano, piano, and fixed or live electronics! We are searching for pieces that combine the soprano voice’s powers with modern compositional techniques, novel piano and electronic aural applications, and unique text selections. Don’t forget that this year is the festival’s 40th anniversary, and the theme is Composers’ Dance! This can be ignored or integrated into the creative process by reflecting on the theme of dance in contemporary vocal music or by looking back at the history of “Druskomanija”.

➔ Notify about your intention to participate by email before 1st of March 11:59 pm info@druskomanija.lt with “Registration: voice” in the subject field;

➔ By 11:59 pm on 15th of April, send the score and the recording of the work by e-mail to info@druskomanija.lt with “Composition for Voice” in the subject field;

Call for two pianos

[PIANOS – modified / prepared / extended / amplified …..]

Take advantage of this chance to write a composition for two (prepared) pianos! Two pianists, Marta Finkelštein and Julija Bagdonavičiūtė, are led by curiosity to participate in the creative process of developing compositions for two pianos, whether they are modified, prepared, extended, amplified, etc. New pieces within the framework of the “Druskomanija” festival will be programmed next to John Cage‘s composition “Three Dances.” It can be ignored or creatively addressed (considering Cage’s concepts, contemporary piano dance genres, or the partnership between Cage and Merce Cunningham).

Call for accordion and clarinet

Open call for compositions for accordion and clarinet
